Genola grew up in an adventurous family, living on boats, Islands and homes between Australia, Europe and the South Pacific, with time to explore and create, this formed the basis of a lifelong love of travel and art.
Her work has been inspired by the beauty of her ever-changing surroundings and she is on a constant search for the exotic, interesting objects, fabrics, patterns, fruit, flowers, fish, insects and birds, which find their way into her serene figurative scenes.
The exploration of colour and the endless rich combinations which bring a painting to life is one of her passions, she loves the challenge of working with limited colour palettes of only two or three colours in a painting.
Genola continues to live, travel and exhibit around the world and is now based with her family in the Byron Bay hinterland and the Fijian Island of Malolo Lailai.
